February 2010--Faceless Killers by Henning Mankell

Talk about a change of pace! After reading the very light, airy No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, I decided we needed a book with some real meat to it. After consulting some of my mystery connoisseur's here at the library, I compiled a list of three possible selections. The winner? Henning Mankell's Faceless Killers, the first in the Kurt Wallander series. Swedish author Mankell is known for his bleak, dark prose and I believe this book will certainly be a cause for discussion, though whether we'll like it or not remains to be seen!

We meet on Wednesday, February 17th, at 6:30 p.m. in the library's Community Room. If you'd like to join us, please call #781-447-7613, email Jessi (see sidebar), or place your copy on hold through the online system today!

I just got my copy today and look forward to digging in to this chilling read tonight!
